Gopal Diary employee found dead; Owner says he committed suicide
There was some amount of chaos at the college road point area where a body of a man named Nilkanta Ghosh was found hanging in the terrace area of a nearby multi-storey building. He was an employee of a local sweet shop and was seen at work yesterday.
The owner of Gopal Diary which is a well known sweet shop of Silchar and where he was an employee informed that, “He came to work normally yesterday, though he looked a little sad through the day. He left with the new normal closing time and nobody knows where he went after that. Today morning my employees informed me that his dead body has been spotted.”
The body was later recovered by the police who sent it for a postmortem at the Silchar Medical College and Hospital. The owner points out that had been facing alcohol abuse lately and seemed worried. “It is clear that he has committed suicide,” added the owner who also sits at the store.
The police, on the other hand, keeping all possibilities in mind while carrying out their investigation.
Nilkanta Ghosh is a resident of Tripura and has been working at Gopal Diary for more than two decades. “He had returned home in the middle and joined work only recently,” adds the owner.
