Government official caught red-handed while taking bribe for mutation of land at Silchar Settlement Office

Once again a government official was caught red handed while taking bribe from a person. This time, Lat Mandal Misba Uddin Laskar was arrested for taking bribe at the Settlement Office in Silchar. He demanded 3000 rupees as bribe from a person for mutation of land. Today, the Anti-Corruption Branch caught Latmandal Misba Uddin red handed while taking the bribe money.

Mentioning about the incident on Twitter, ADGP of Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Assam wrote “Today, a team of @DIR_VAC_ASSAM trapped red handed and arrested Sh Misbah Uddin Laskar, Patwary in the O/O Settlement Officer, Silchar, Dist. Cachar after he accepted demanded bribe from the complainant for mutating his name in land records. @CMOfficeAssam @assampolice”.
