“Govt. Failed so Rahul Gandhi Stepped In” states Bhupen Bora on LoP’s Visit to Manipur Via Silchar
Amidst the violence in Manipur, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi will visit Silchar tomorrow to assess the dire situation of the affected people. He will visit relief camps in Fulertal, Cachar, where displaced residents have taken refuge, and later travel to Jiribam and Imphal to understand the ground realities and meet with affected individuals. As per the statement of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee President Bhupen Bora, he would also asses the situation of the state’s flood situation.

Morning:
– 06:40 – 09:15: Rahul Gandhi will fly from Delhi to Silchar by special flight.
– 09:25 – 10:25: From Silchar Airport, he will travel by road to Fulertal, Cachar.
– 10:25 – 10:55: He will visit the relief camp at Thalai In, Youth Care Centre, Fulertal.
Midday:
– 10:55 – 11:15: Travel from Fulertal to Jiribam by road.
– 11:15 – 11:45: Visit the relief camp at Jiribam Higher Secondary School, Manipur.
– 11:45 – 13:00: Return to Silchar airport by road.
– 13:15 – 13:45: Fly from Silchar to Imphal by special flight.
Afternoon:
– 14:00 – 15:30: Travel from Imphal Airport to Churachandpur by road.
– 15:30 – 16:00: Visit the relief camp at Mandap, Tuibong, Churachandpur.
– 16:00 – 16:30: Travel to Moirang by road.
– 16:30 – 17:00: Visit the relief camp at Phubala High School, Moirang.
– 17:00 – 18:00: Return to Imphal by road.

– 18:00 – 18:40: Meeting with the Hon. Governor at Raj Bhavan, followed by a press briefing.

Assam Pradesh Congress Committee President Bhupen Bora informed the media about this visit, highlighting the importance of Rahul Gandhi’s mission to understand the situation of people seeking shelter in Cachar due to the violence in Manipur.
Bhupen Bora had also criticised the ruling government and the Prime Minister for their inadequate response to the Manipur crisis, which necessitated the Opposition leader’s intervention. This will be Rahul Gandhi’s third visit to Manipur, underlining the gravity of the situation.
During his visit, Rahul Gandhi will interact with residents in relief camps, listen to their grievances, and assess the on-ground reality. His itinerary includes visits to multiple relief camps in Fulertal, Jiribam, Churachandpur, and Moirang, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the crisis.
