Gunshots in Barak Valley: Miscreants allegedly fired at a resident in Karimganj
In a sensational incident, a firing incident has been reported in Karimganj district’s Janglartuk village on Saturday morning.
According to reports, the incident happened at around 3 am, Saturday morning when a group of miscreants went on the door-steps of Dilwar Hussain, and voiced him to open the door. But Hussain refused which lead the miscreants open fire targeting his door.
Miscreants allegedly fired three times, of which one pierced through the door and landed in Hussain’s bed. However, no one received any injuries in the incident.
According to the victim Dilwar Hussain, some days back, two person namely Islam Uddin and Kala demanded Rs 10 lakh rupees from him and now he is suspecting same people behind the incident.
The Patharkandi police has jumped to investigation and doubt a drugs nexus behind the case. Meanwhile the firing incident has created a panic in the area.
