Head-on collision between speeding bike and scooty critically injures four, locals rushed them to hospital

Devastating news coming in from the Cachar district’s Dholai area. A head-on collision between a bike and a scooty has injured four individuals. This incident happened at around 8, this evening. The condition of all four individuals are said to be in critical condition and are undergoing treatment at SMCH. With the help of the locals, they were rushed to the hospital as an ambulance or police help couldn’t reach there on time.

The incident happened on Bagha-Sherkhan road’s Khashpur in Dholai. The four injured in the accident were Pinak Seal, Sahabul Hussain, Ajit das and Saidul Hussain. According to the available information, both the scooty and the bike were speeding from opposite sides when they lost control and met in a head-on collision. As both the vehicles were at a high speed, all four riding the two-wheelers fell off their vehicle and were severely injured.

According to a local there, who helped the injured reach hospital said, “I heard this sudden loud noise and rushed to the road to see what it was. Then we found the two vehicles collapsed and four lying in a pool of blood. One was stuck under the bike and the other three fell away from the spot of the accident. Some other locals also gathered there and we called the emergency line for an ambulance. But when we saw the ambulance was getting late, we took the scooty rider to the health centre for treatment in my car as he was the most injured.”

The other three were also rushed to the health centre in an auto by the locals. The condition of all four was critical and hence they were referred to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for treatment after first-aid. Later Dholai Police reached the spot to take stock of the matter.
