Heavy electricity impairment to continue in Cachar, Subdivison offices drowned

The exponential flood crisis in the State has drenched the people in severe grief and distress. Tides of dark times engulf the people. During such a period, the electricity supply is also impaired in most of the flood-affected areas of the district.

In a conversation with Arup Paul, the AGM of APDCL,  Silchar Subdivision,  we got to know some predictable events.

The areas of supply where the transformers and cabinets are kept, that are drenched, are being isolated. The Chengkoorie Substation, is completely submerged, and all four panels of it have been disconnected. Silchar ESD 2 and ESD 3 offices are also inundated with water.

Like the previous flood, an alternative approach to supply is being taken into action. However, the areas of the town that are totally flooded will be deprived of the electricity supply, as various risk factors are associated.

Moreover, the Subdivison offices at Itkhola are also flooded. Sonai and Kabuganj substations are also under water sincere the last 24 hours.

Speaking of the totally flooded Link Road, it is informed that the lanes with minimum water logging are given electricity supply. Constant monitoring is being done, to disconnect newly flooded areas, and reconnect the areas with an ebb.
