Swami Vivekananda with his folded hands near Sadarghat Bridge looks straight down Dhakai Patty. The bard Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore observes as paths collide at the iconic India Club point. Not too far away stands the architect of modern Silchar, Arun Kumar Chanda. Language martyrs are revered in this city. Kamala Bhattacharjee, Sudeshna Sinha and various installations revisiting 1961 abound the city.
