Hindu Samhati’s ‘Mashal Michil’ lights up the heart of Silchar
Around 500 individuals walked through the heart of Silchar earlier today with lit torches in their hands. The group of people assembled near Khudiram Bose’s statue and then marched till Narshigtola Ground through Premtala.
The rally was organised by the Hindu Samhati in demand for the fast implementation of the Joint Notification of 7 September 2015 (Passport Amendment order and Foreign Amendment order) in Assam. The organisation said it would safeguard the persecuted Hindus from being “thrown inside Detention camps.”
Apart from the Mashal Rally, the assembled protestors lit candles in the memory of Late Dulalchandra Paul. In a statement, the group stated, “He is the recent victim of Detention camps in Assam, which can also be called as modern-day killer camps for Hindus in Hindu Majority India under a Hindu Nationalist govt which is actually sanctioning funds to construct new detention camps.”
The rally was attended by Samhati’s Barak Valley president Samrat Dutta, Silchar town president, Sayan Paul and many others.
