HS First Year test in June; Assam Council sends notice to Institutions

In 2020, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council had promoted first-year students without any test. The decision was taken keeping considering the disruption caused by the pandemic. In 2021, the academic calendar got extended. The current first-year students, at least a section of them thought they will get automatic promotion as their seniors. That ain’t gonna happen!

On February 11, 2021, the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council issued a notice announcing the examinations. The notice stated, “It is for information of all concerned that HS 1st year test examination 2021 is to be held in the month of June 2021.”

The notice added, “In this connection, the process of online form fillup will be started from 1st March 2021 and will be ended on 31st March 2021. The hard copies of fee payment challan etc. must be submitted to the Council office latest by April 20, 2021.”

The Council has asked all the heads of the institutions to notify their examinees in this regard so that no one is left on the process of online form fill up during the set fixed period. “Detailed guidelines for online process will be available in the council’s website in due time,” stated the notice.

The principal of Government School, Parvina Sultana said that she has received the notice from the council and the authority is working accordingly. Students of private institutions have also been informed about the notice.
