Normally, the HSLC and HS Final examinations are conducted in the month of February in Assam however this year the covid pandemic put an hault to that practice as schools and colleges of the state started fully functioning only recently after prolonged nine months since March, 2020. Guidelines were eventually formulated to facilitate online education with the help of internet however basic infrastructure and poor connectivity at rural places hindered the process greatly and physical classes seemed to be the only viable alternative.
Recently, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had announced that the CBSE board exams would be held in the month of May and subsequently the various state boards in the country started declaring their own dates. The Board and Council candidates of Assam were also anxiously waiting for their exam dates. With this announcement, the students can now accordingly sync their exam preparations in line with the dates.
