HSLC exam, often consider the most important exam in a student’s life can decide the entire career trajectory of a student.

On the night before the crucial HSLC examination, 30 villages in Katigorah, Cachar, faced a prolonged power outage, leaving students in distress. The electricity was cut off from 6 PM on Friday and remained out throughout the night, forcing many students to study under candlelight.

Several students from economically weaker backgrounds struggled to revise their syllabus due to the blackout. According to reports, the outage occurred due to a technical issue in the Fulbari feeder line under APDCL’s Kalain subdivision.

With the HSLC exams being a significant milestone for students, locals expressed frustration over APDCL’s inefficiency. Many questioned how such an important examination night could pass without a swift response from the department.
