In conversation with Don Bosco’s Biley Roy, who scored 96% in Class XII CBSE
“What is this life if, full of care, We have no time to stand and stare,” we all remember the famous lines from William Henry Davies. But before exams, most of the parents follow the “All work and no play” theory which makes “Jack a dull boy”.
CBSE declared the results for class XII yesterday and one of the toppers in Barak Valley, Biley Roy, however, believes that one should maintain a balance between studies and social life even during examinations.
In an exclusive conversation with barakbulletin.com, Biley shared, “Of course one has to prepare well. But I really feel that if you consistently study throughout the year, you won’t be at pressure before the exams. I regularly covered my syllabus and so did not have to miss on any fun. I did not want to cut off from my social circle and time with family because of my exams. Creating that balance is always very important.”
Biley a student of Don Bosco school scored 96%. A science student, he is now looking forward to pursuing engineering in a good college. “I have scored well in my engineering exams so I hope to get through a good college. While I would love to study at an IIT, I know it’s really tough to crack the entrance.”
Thanking his school principal, teachers and family, Biley shared, “I worked hard and my target was to get more than 95 percent. But it is never an individual effort. My school principal and teachers really supported me and pushed me towards my goal. They are equal contributors to my marks. Also, my parents have always had my back. I come from a humble background and many raised eyebrows when my parents admitted me in this school. But they never let that affect me and only helped me achieve my dreams. This score is dedicated to my parents and I am glad I could make them proud.”
The young boy further shared that his family and friends haven’t stopped celebrating the feat. “It’s a happy moment for all of us right now.”
Congratulations Biley. And we hope you continue making Barak Valley proud with your achievements.
