Karimganj: Mason Electrocuted While Setting Up Ceiling Fan, Wife Shocked Senseless

In a tragic incident, Bijoy Roy, a mason by profession, was electrocuted while installing a ceiling fan at his home in the Kazir Bazar area of Karimganj’s Kaliganj. The fatal accident occurred due to faulty wiring in the house, which caused a live wire to come into contact with the tin roof where Roy was working.

The electrocution resulted in Bijoy Roy’s immediate death. His wife, in an attempt to rescue him from the electric shock, also suffered severe electric shocks and lost consciousness.

Following the incident, Bijoy Roy’s body was rushed to the Karimganj Civil Hospital, where medical authorities declared him brought dead.

Bijoy Roy is survived by his wife and two young children, a four-year-old daughter and a younger son. The loss of Roy, a hardworking father and the sole breadwinner of the family deeply saddens the local community.
