Katigorah resident alleges theft by five Cachar Police officials during search at his house, Lodges complaint to SP

A serious allegation has surfaced in Cachar district, where five Cachar Police officials stand accused of theft during a search operation. Safik Uddin Barbhuiya, a resident of Katigorah, brought these allegations to light and formally lodged a complaint with the Cachar Superintendent of Police after meeting him at his office.

He also accused four other individuals who perpetrated the crime named Jahir Ahmed Barbhuiya, Johir Ahmed Barbhuiya, Shamima Begum Talukdar and Ajijur Rahman Talukdar, Safik Uddin Barbhuiya, while addressing reporters, recounted the shocking incident.

According to Barbhuiya, the accused persons accompanied five police officials from Katigorah Police Station to his residence, where they initiated a search. However, Uddin and his wife were not present at home during the search. Instead, the accused individuals allegedly subjected Uddin’s children to misbehavior and, in a shocking turn of events, stole 6,500 rupees and important documents from the locker in their almirah.

The gravity of these allegations has cast a cloud of suspicion over the actions of law enforcement officials.
