LEO Club Of Silchar Central To Host 6th Edition Of ‘Kalakrit’ Charity Art Competition On May 25

The LEO Club of Silchar Central is set to organise the sixth edition of its annual art competition, Kalakrit, on May 25, 2025 (Sunday) at Silchar Collegiate Higher Secondary School, located on Ramkrishna Mission Road.

Aimed at encouraging young artists while supporting various noble causes, Kalakrit invites participation from students ranging from pre-primary to Class X.

Registration will be on-spot, starting at 8:00 AM, with a registration fee of Rs. 100. The drawing competition will take place from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, and participants are required to carry their school ID cards and personal drawing materials. Chart paper will be provided by the organisers.

Speaking about the initiative, a representative of the LEO Club shared, “This isn’t just about art. Kalakrit is a platform where young minds express their creativity for a greater cause.” The entire proceeds from the event will be donated to charity. Last year, the funds were used for post-flood relief efforts in Silchar, & other initiatives.

All participants will receive certificates, and winners will be awarded during a prize distribution ceremony scheduled at 3:00 PM.
