Locals torch car in Silchar

In a major incident, fumed locals set a Bolero car on fire after they chased it down near National Highway Patrol post on Saturday evening around 730pm. On the other hand, police reached the spot along with fire brigade to control the situation.
Police informed that the incident triggered after the locals stopped the car bearing number AS01AT6234 which had allegedly hit a 79 year old man identified as Kamal Singha near Bhakatpur on the outskirts of the town. The injured person has been rushed to Silchar Medical College ans hospital for treatment.
