
Minister Pijush Hazarika visits residences of COVID victims, meets family members
Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Pijush Hazarika met the bereaved families of COVID-19 victims on Thursday.
Paying a visit to the residence of late Samar Deb, a resident of Nutanpatty, who succumbed to the disease, Minister Hazarika expressed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Hazarika also paid his visit to the residence of Sandip Paul at Samshan Road whose father Sachindra Paul died of corona disease and expressed his sincerest condolences to the bereaved family.
Later, Hazarika proceeded to the Ambikapatty residence of Dr. Kalpajyoti Bhattacharjee whose father late Kiran Sashi Bhattacharjee died due to coronavirus and expressed his condolences to the bereaved family.
The Minister also visited the residence of former Union Minister Kabindra Purkayastha and inquired about his health condition.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Health, Sumit Sattawan, Joint Director, Health Services, Dr.Sudip Jyoti Das and District Media Expert, Suman Choudhury accompanied the Minister in his visits.
The Minister then inspected the COVID-19 Swab Testing Centre at Cachar Cancer Hospital, the Green Heals Hospital and the Screening Centre at Teachers’ Training College.
