Minor allegedly raped and killed in Barak Valley

An 11-year-old minor was allegedly raped and murdered in Sarjul Bagan GP of Patharkandi Constituency, Karimganj on Thursday.

According to a source, the deceased girl was missing from Wednesday evening after she went out to bring back their cattle. “She was supposed to be back at home around 4:30 pm. Finding her not at home, her parents went out to search but couldn’t find her. The next day, her body was recovered from a nearby lake” a witness of the whole incident said.

The family members have alleged that their daughter was raped before being killed and are demanding strict action against the perpetrator. The police has already registered a case and if sources are to be believed, the accused has been arrested from India-Bangla border, just moments before. He has been identified as Allauddin.
