MP Rajdeep Roy, Rudra Narayan Gupta’s family test negative in COVID test
As a major relief for the general public, Silchar MP Rajdeep Roy tested negative in his COVID test. Silchar MP has been actively involved in governance and has met a lot of people during the pandemic. He has also been collecting funds for the PM’s Care and distributing relief among the poor and needy. Many eyes were on Roy’s test reports and him testing negative would have come as a relief for them.
Renowned industrialist, Rudra Narayan Gupta’s family has also tested negative. The director of Green Heals Hospital was found carrying the infection yesterday and after that, he was immediately admitted to Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
“We all at the Gupta family including our house helpers have been tested COVID Negative,” informed Rudra Narayan Gupta’s wife, Tanushree Gupta who herself is a COVID warrior and served her duties during the pandemic.
She added, “Only Rudra has been tested positive and is on his way to a speedy recovery. Thanks for everyone’s support and relentless prayers that each one of us is safe and sound! Still, we are taking the utmost caution and necessary precautions. Thanks once again the support extended by friends, family, and everyone near and dear ones…”
Green Heals Hospitals along with Nightingale and a couple of other health care centres were asked to remain shut for at least 72 hours after the administration found out that Dr. Orina Raha attended patients in those. ENT Specialist, Raha was tested COVID positive on July 1, 2020. After that, her family members, her house help, her driver also tested positive.
Yesterday, gynecologist Dr. Monika Deb also tested COVID positive. While speaking with Barak Bulletin, Deb said that she has also attended patients in Green Heals Hospital along with Jeevan Jyoti Institute of Medical Sciences and Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
