
Mupa Landslide Disrupts Train Services in Lumding-Badarpur Hill Section: Trains Cancelled on Thursday
Due to a landslide at KM 51/2-3 between Dihakho (DKE) and Mupa (MUPA), train services on the affected route have been suspended, causing yet another major disruption in railway operations in the Lumding-Badarpur Hill Section of the NF Railway. The Northeast Frontier Railway has announced full and partial cancellations, rescheduling, and regulation of multiple trains to manage the situation.
Full Cancellations (Effective July 3, 2025)
The following trains have been fully cancelled:
- 15615 GHY–SCL Express (July 3, 2025)
- 15611 RNY–SCL Express (July 3, 2025)
- 05628 AGTL–GHY TOD (July 3, 2025)
- 15612 SCL–RNY (July 3, 2025)
- 05627 GHY–AGTL TOD (July 4, 2025)
Partial Cancellation
Train 15616 (SCL–GHY) has been partially cancelled on July 3, 2025. It will terminate at MUPA and will not run between MUPA and Guwahati.
Rescheduling
Train 12508 (SCL–TVC) scheduled to run on July 3, will now depart at 08:00 AM on July 4 instead of its usual 7:30 PM slot.
Regulation of Trains
Several trains have been regulated at different stations to manage congestion:
- 13174 (SBRM–SDAH) is regulated at Mahur Station
- 12520 (AGTL–LTT) at New Haflong
- 15618 (DLCR–GHY) at New Haflong
- 14619 (AGTL–FZR) at Dharmanagr
- 12503 (SMVB–AGTL) at Guwahati (that commenced journey on July 1)
- 13173 (SDAH–SBRM) at Lumding
- 20502 (ANVT–AGTL) at GHY (that commenced journey on July 2)
Special Arrangement for Stranded Passengers:
The Lumding (LMG) Division will arrange a special empty coaching rake from Langting (LGT) for the movement of stranded passengers of train 15616. After boarding is ensured, a special train will run from LGT to GHY depending on track availability.
Passengers are advised to check the latest updates before planning their journey.
The train movement was just resumed on Sunday (June 29) after the landslide section was cleared on the Jatinga-Lampur section.
