N. F. Railway Announces Cancellation and Diversion of trains for Infrastructure Development: Here’s the full list

In a recent press release by Sabyasachi De, Chief Public Relations Officer of NF Railways, it has been revealed that the North Frontier Railway (NFR) is set to implement a series of train service changes due to essential pre non-interlocking works scheduled between Gorakhpur Cantt. and Kusmhi stations under the North Eastern Railway zone.

These changes will come into effect as mentioned below:

Cancellation of Trains:

Several trains passing through the affected section will be temporarily canceled on specific dates. The canceled trains are as follows:

Train no. 15621 (Kamakhya – Anand Vihar Terminal) & 15622 (Anand Vihar Terminal – Kamakhya) Express scheduled for August 31, 2023, and September 1, 2023, respectively.
Train no. 15651 (Guwahati- Jammu Tawi) & 15652 (Jammu Tawi – Guwahati) Express scheduled for September 4, 2023, and September 6, 2023, respectively.
Train no. 15078 (Gomti Nagar – Kamakhya) & 15077 (Kamakhya – Gomti Nagar) Express scheduled for September 4, 2023, and September 5, 2023, respectively.
Train no. 05616 (Guwahati – Udaipur City) & 05615 (Udaipur City – Guwahati) Special scheduled for September 3, 2023, and September 6, 2023, respectively.
Train no. 04654 (Amritsar Jn.- New Jalpaiguri) & 04653 (New Jalpaiguri- Amritsar Jn.) Special scheduled for August 30, 2023, and September 1, 2023, respectively.
Train no. 05734 (Katihar- Amritsar Jn.) & 05733 (Amritsar Jn.- Katihar) Special scheduled for September 2, 2023, and September 4, 2023, respectively.

Diversion of Trains:

In addition to the cancellations, certain trains will be diverted from their usual routes during the stipulated period. The diverted trains include:

Train no. 15707 (Katihar Jn. – Amritsar Jn.) Express, scheduled to operate from August 30, 2023, to September 5, 2023, will follow an alternative route via Chhapra Jn., Ghazipur City, Varanasi Jn., Banaras, Prayagraj Jn., and Kanpur Central.

Train no. 15708 (Amritsar Jn. – Katihar Jn.) Express, scheduled to operate from August 30, 2023, to September 5, 2023, will be rerouted via Kanpur Central, Prayagraj Jn., Banaras, Varanasi Jn., Ghazipur City, and Chhapra Jn.
Re-scheduling of Trains:

The NF Railway has also announced the re-scheduling of train no. 15655 (Kamakhya – Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra) Express. On September 3, 2023, this train will depart from Kamakhya station at 13:00 hrs. instead of the previously scheduled 11:00 hrs., en route to its destination, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station.
