Newborn’s body found in Dholai jungle, locals rescue remains from dogs
Inhumanity has reached another lowest point in Dholai’s Khulicherra village. A newborn’s body was found inside the forest area of this village, partially gnawed by dogs.
This horrifying incident has left the locals in disbelief. The body of a newborn was found on Saturday night (February 15) in a forested area near the roadside, with stray dogs gnawing at the remains.
The gruesome sight was discovered by pedestrians passing through the area at night. Upon seeing the dogs feeding on the infant’s body, locals intervened and managed to recover what was left of the newborn. However, much of the body had already been consumed. The disturbing discovery quickly spread across the village, sparking outrage and disbelief.
“I saw dogs barking around in the area, and when I approached closer, I was shocked to see human body parts being fed on by the dogs. I shooed them away and later found this newborn dumped there,” said an elderly local.
“The one who did this act is absolutely inhuman. Who dumps such a small helpless life like this?” questioned another resident.
Police arrived at the scene upon receiving information and recovered the remains, which were sent for medical examination. While the circumstances behind the abandonment remain unclear, locals suspect that an unwed mother may have discarded the baby to conceal her pregnancy.
The incident has sparked widespread condemnation, with residents demanding strict punishment for the perpetrator.
