NF Railway cancels Silchar-Guwahati and seven other trains

On one side the Barak floods caused a lot of misery for the inhabitants and now the aftermath of landslide will make traveling difficult for people in Silchar. After the Lumding-Badarpur landslides, few trains on the route will remain cancelled in the coming days.

The Northeast Frontier Railway issued a notice giving in the list of the cancelled trains and apologised for the inconvenience caused to the commuters. Signed by the General Manager, Operations, the notice read, “Due to after affect of landslide in Lumding-Badarpur hill section and extensive flooding in Silchar area, the following trains will remain cancelled as under.”

Here’s the list of trains that will remain cancelled

1. 15611/15612 (Guwhati-Silchar- Guwhati passenger till June 24
2. 55667/55668 (Silchar-Bhairabi-Silchar) passenger /till June 24
3. 55661/55662 (Silchar-Maishashan-Silchar) till June 24
4. 55665/55666 (Silchar-Vangaichungpao-Silchar) passenger till June 22
5. 15944 (Dibrugarh-Silchar) passenger till June 25
6. 15943 (Silchar-Dibrugarh) passenger till June 26
7. 55668 DN (Bhairabi-Silchar) passenger till June 22
8. 55678 (Dharmanagar-Silchar) passenger till June 22
