Night Bus from Silchar to Guwahati Overturns on Shillong Road, “No Loss of Life,” Confirms DC EJH

In a late-night incident, a night super bus traveling from Silchar to Guwahati met with an accident on Shillong Road. The mishap occurred near Brishyrnot Lumshnong when Network Night Bus AS AC 9822, en route from Silchar, Assam, to Guwahati, veered off the road and overturned, according to highway patrolling authorities.

Abhilash Baranwal, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of East Jaintia Hills, confirmed to Barak Bulletin that while there were no reports of fatalities, a few passengers sustained minor injuries in the incident.

The accident, reported around 11:15 pm, involved approximately 15 to 20 passengers. Fortunately, most had already disembarked onto alternate night buses before the mishap occurred.
