Last night, his family members heard the sound of a bullet being fired coming from the roof. They immediately rushed to check and found out that their only son is no more.

Hariparwat Police station was informed about the incident. “We did not find any suicide note in his room, nor do the parents have any clue why their son decided to shot himself dead,” said the investigating officer while speaking with Barak Bulletin.

“The revolver used is licensed to Shubankar Pandit’s father Rakesh Pandit,” added the officer.

The Police said they are investigating the matter will try to establish a connection with his friends and classmates.

The classroom lectures have been abandoned owing to the outbreak of COVID19 induced pandemic and that is why the 22-year-old is in Agra and not Silchar. Shubankar Pandit has just qualified for the third year.
