Over 200 liquor bottles seized from Udharbond hotel

Excise officials seized over two hundred bottles of liquor from a hotel and a house at Udharbond in Cachar district on Wednesday.

According to sources, a team of excise officials carried out an operation on the basis of specific information at the house of Poltu Paul at Udharbond market area, around 18km from Silchar, on Wednesday evening and seized the liquor bottles.

Poltu, along with five other persons, who were found consuming liquor at the hotel, were later brought to the excise branch in Silchar, sources said.
