Parimal Suklabaidya Launches MPLADS Projects Worth Rs 28 Lakh in Katigorah

Silchar Lok Sabha MP Parimal Suklabaidya on Thursday (March 5) laid the foundation stones for six development projects in the Katigorah Legislative Assembly Constituency of Cachar district. The projects, with a total estimated cost of Rs. 28 lakh, will be funded through the Members of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS).

As per reports, the projects aim to strengthen community infrastructure and improve public facilities in different parts of the Katigorah area under the Silchar Lok Sabha constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, Suklabaidya said that the Silchar constituency has been witnessing steady development since the formation of the government led by Narendra Modi at the Centre and the BJP government in the state.

He said the new projects would help improve the educational environment, support community life and preserve cultural spaces. He also mentioned that facilities such as community halls, passenger sheds, toilets, culverts and CC roads are being developed to improve public convenience.

The MP appreciated the concerned authorities for the quick planning and execution of the projects. He also thanked the people of Katigorah for their cooperation and participation, saying their support is helping in the development of the region.

Suklabaidya added that such initiatives reflect the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development slogan of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.

The projects for which foundation stones were laid include the construction of a community hall at Katirail Bhairab Bari in Ward No. 2 of Katirail Gaon Panchayat with an estimated cost of Rs. 5 lakh. Another community hall will be built near East Subudh Nagar Kalachand Bari near the house of Nandi Namasudra in Chandnagar Gaon Panchayat at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh.

A community hall will also be constructed near Shiv Bari at Saidpur Part II near the house of Rupok Das Gupta under Leverputa Gaon Panchayat with a cost of Rs. 4 lakh. Another community hall will come up near Sri Sri Radharaman Goswami Ashram at Chandipur in Digorkhal under Rajyeswarpur Gaon Panchayat at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh.

In addition, a boundary wall will be constructed at Bairabpally near Hanuman Mandir under Kushiarkul Gaon Panchayat with an estimated cost of Rs. 4 lakh. A cultural hall will also be built at Khelma Part VIII near Shib Mandir under Gumra Gaon Panchayat at a cost of Rs. 5 lakh.
