People of all age gather to protest against Sayantan Chakraborty’s untimely death, see photos
Hundreds of youth today gathered on the streets of Silchar in a candle rally against the death of Sayantan Chakraborty, who died due to lack of basic medical facilities in Silchar Medical College and Hospital.
25-year-old Sayantan (Rommo) reportedly had a cardiac arrest in the early hours of October 8. His family rushed him to Silchar Medical College and Hospital where he was advised an urgent angioplast.
With the facility not available, his family decided to shift him to NEIGRIHMS hospital. Unfortunately, Sayantan breathed his last while on the way.
Sayantan Chakraborty’s death has sparked an outrage among people from all sections, irrespective of political parties, religion or language. Today, residents of the city gathered to voice against his untimely death and the lack of infrastructure in the hospital.
Not just the aam janta, but young leaders from many political parties also attended the rally to show their support.
