PM Modi’s visit in Karimganj; 3 helicopters to land, security beefed up
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be in Karimganj on March 18. BJP is leaving no stone unturned to ensure this becomes a massive event. Senior leader from Barak Valley are themselves on the field inspecting the preparations.
Considering Karimganj is a bordering district and shares international border with Bangladesh, the vigilance is high. The security management has been tightened.
Silchar MP Rajdeep Roy posted on his social media, “Finalising Modiji’s program venue at Karimganj along with ADGP Shri Harmeet Singh, IPS. We are extremely delighted to welcome our Hon’ble Prime Minister to Barak Valley.”
The event will take place in Bhatgram near the bypass in Karimganj. Security personnel have already setup a camp on the ground. As the work began on in war-footing, district president Subrat Bhattacharjee says this is a historic moment for Karimganj. “Prime Minister Narendra Modi coming here and addressing the people of this district is a dream come true moment for all of us. We are certain that the alliance will win 13 out of 15 seats in Barak Valley,” said Bhattacharjee.
The residents of the district will see three helicopters land one after another and then again takeoff after the event. This will be a larger than life spectacle. To ensure that the preparation is upto the mark, a team led by Bihar BJP chief Manoj Sharma has reached Karimganj.
In a day or two we will have an estimate as to how many lakh people will attend the event, said the party’s leadership in Karimganj. This visit is certain to change the dynamics of the upcoming elections.
DC Karimganj, MP Anbamuthan informed that the district administration is looking after arrangements to ensure there is no shortcomings while the Assam Police is in-charge of security.
