Protestors from HPC aressted; “We are being taken to an unknown location” Manobendra Chakroborty

Hindustan Paper Mills gathered in front of Silchar Railway Service in Tarapur to protest against Narendra Modi and BJP government. While the protests continued for a while, at around 1:30 PM Police officials “forced” the protestors in a bus and started driving towards an unknown destination.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his way to Silchar today and he will address a massive gathering in the Ramnagar. The HPC employees wanted Modi and the attendees to witness their demonstration and that is why they were protesting in the heart of the town. “Because of being deprived from their salary for months after months, 51 employees of the government institution lost their lives. We hold Prime Minister Narendra Modi responsible for this miserable condition of the employees of HPC and their family members,” says Manobendra Chakroborty, chief convenor of the Paper Mill Revival Action Committee.

He added, “In the name of Vikas Narendra Modi is doing Binash and if we try to protest we are obstructed, arrested and being taken to an unknown destination.”

As per last available information the protestors were being driven towards Lakhipur.
