Rajdeep Roy to file his nomination tomorrow; will be joined by Mahendra Kumar Singh
As the Lok Sabha elections come closer the political parties are upping the ante when it comes to their election campaigns. Tomorrow, BJP’s candidate from Silchar, Lok Sabha candidate Rajdeep Roy, will file his nomination and the party wants to make it a grand event. This is the first time Roy will contest in the Lok Sabha elections and Mahendra Kumar Singh, national secretary of BJP and party’s prabhari of Assam will join him in the nomination rally.
The nomination rally will start from BJP’s party office in Silchar and then move to Town Club where Mahendra Kumar Singh and other senior members of the party are expected to address a mass gathering.
“We are expecting a big turnout,” says Rajdeep Roy. The polling in India, will start on April 11 and continue till May 17, 2019. The results will be declared on May 23. 2019, deciding who forms the 17th Lok Sabha. In Assam the polls will take place in three phases on April 11, April 18 and April 23 respectively. On April 11, polls will be conducted on five constituencies, on April 18 more five constituencies will undergo polling. Voter of the remaining four constituencies will cast their votes in the final phase of polling on April 18, 2019. Both Silchar and Karimganj constituencies will undergo polling on Aprill 18, 2019.
