
RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat arrives in Silchar, here’s his full schedule
Mohan Bhagwat, the Chief of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, has just arrived in the town today. On his visit to the South Assam zone, he will stay in the Sangha Karyalay Bhawan for three days and attend various high-profile meetings. His visit to the town came after his tour of Tripura. During his stay from 27th of 31st January, selected swayamsevaks from Karimganj and Hailakandi will also participate in different meetings with the Chief.
The 6th Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Bhagwat, reached Badarpur via train from Agartala at noon. From Badarpur he was escorted to Silchar by members of the RSS and high level police security. Upon his arrival to the Karyalay Bhawan, he was greeted and welcomed by men and women from the RSS family and felicitated with flowers and traditional Hindu rituals. Due to the ongoing pandemic, only selected members are allowed in the bhawan.
“There won’t be any public meetings or gatherings as planned earlier. Only selected double vaccinated, swayamsevaks are allowed during various meetings and discussions”, said Abhijit Nath, the Southern Assam Pranta’s Prachar Pramukh to Barak Bulletin. Various activities and programmes will start from tomorrow. Security has been beefed up in and around the Karyalay Bhawan for the protection of the high profile dignitary.
On 28th he will meet various members and senior service heads of the RSS. Following that, on 29th he is scheduled to meet with the Barak Valley members of Sanghatan Shreni and Jagaran Shreni. On his last day of visit to Silchar, he will meet with selected dignitaries and members of the Civil Society of the valley. Due to COVID pandemic, there won’t be any public meeting. The scheduled public meeting on the 29th of January at District Sporting Association’s playground stands canceled due to the same reason, informs the Prachar Pramukh. On 31st January, Bhagwat ji will leave for Nagpur from Kumbhirgram Airport.
