SEBA reschedules HSLC English exam for JR Higher Secondary School, Ganirgram to March 28, 2023

The Board of Secondary Education, Assam has rescheduled the HSLC English examination for examinees appearing at the JR Higher Secondary School, Ganirgram. As per the latest notification issued by the Principal Controller of Examinations, SEBA, the English examination at JR Higher Secondary School, Ganirgram will now be held on March 28, 2023 from 9 am. A total of 760 candidates will again appear for their English exam on the said date.

It maybe mentioned that on the first day of the High School Leaving Certificate Examination an unexpected incident occurred at Ganirgram Examination Centre in Cachar district. The police were searching candidates at the gate to prevent them from bringing chits, but individuals were seen climbing over the centre’s walls to supply chits to the candidates.

The police were immediately alerted and rushed to the scene to bring the situation under control. After investigation, Asab Uddin, a resident of Mahadebpur in Katigorah, was detained by the police for allegedly supplying chits to students at Gonirgram School by climbing the wall.

Later for maintaining the sanctity of examination, SEBA cancelled the English exam held on March 3, 2023 at JR Higher Secondary School, Ganirgram examination centre and asked teachers not to evaluate the answer scripts of the exam held on that day as allegations of mass cheating marred the examination process.
