Silchar boy Rukser Ahmed clinches first position at the Bajaj Pulsarmania 2.0 contest held in Kolkata
In the recently concluded Bajaj Pulsarmania 2.0 contest held in Kolkata, Silchar boy Rukser Ahmed has managed to snatch the first position in the competition. Participated by approximately one thousand bikers coming from all over the region, Rukser’s victory has put Barak Valley once again at the forefront of the Indian bike stunt fraternity.
Organised by Bajaj Auto Ltd. to celebrate the legacy of their popular motorcycle brand Bajaj Pulsar, the stunt contest is being organized throughout the country across 75 cities. Rukser participated in the Kolkata edition of the event organised on October 1, 2023, where he managed to come victorious over all his fellow participants in the Style Zone category.
Talking to Barak Bulletin, Rukser said that his passion for the art of bike stunts has taken him this far in life. “I’ve always wanted to make a life as a professional bike stuntman, since my childhood. And ever since I won the KTM RC Cup in Gujarat earlier this year, I’ve been trying to look for such challenges and competitions where I can showcase my skills and talent as a biker and stuntman.”
Rukser, who was detained last year by the Cachar police for posting bike stunt videos on his Instagram handle, overcame all the adversities and accepted the challenge of proving his mettle as a stuntman through such coveted contests.
He also said that stunt enthusiasts like himself are waiting for the day when the Indian government recognizes bike stunt as a professional sport. “Unlike many other countries like Bangladesh, bike stunt has not been legalised as a professional sport in India yet. Therefore, even today, there has been a stigma and fear surrounding the concept of this sport. Automobile companies like Bajaj and KTM have been pushing to make it legal in India so that thousands of stunt enthusiasts in India like me can pursue it as a profession, and not just passion”, said Rukser.
Dedicating this win to the people of Barak Valley, Rukser aspires to become a professional bike stuntman in a world where it is recognised as a legal sport. He still believes that through proper awareness, training, and safety measures, India can produce world-beating talents in the field of motorcycle stunts.
