Silchar-Guwahati Express Cancelled Following Lokmanya Tilak Express Derailment

Following the derailment of the Lokmanya Tilak Express at Dibolong station in the Lumding division, several trains have been cancelled, causing inconvenience to passengers in the region. The incident occurred at around 3:55 pm when eight coaches, including the engine, went off the tracks. Fortunately, there have been no casualties reported so far, but the cause of the derailment remains unknown at this time. Visuals from the site reveal significant damage caused by the accident.

 

The derailment of the Lokmanya Tilak Express has resulted in the cancellation of the Silchar-Guwahati Express, which serves as a crucial transport link for passengers travelling between Silchar and Guwahati. In addition to the Silchar-Guwahati Express, several other trains have also been cancelled due to the incident. The complete list of cancelled trains is as follows:
