Silchar – Manipur Highway: Royal Enfield motorcycle without number hits a pedestrian leaving 75-year-old dead

In an unfortunate turn of affairs, a 75-year-old has lost his life. In Cachar’s Arkatipur area, a speeding Royal Enfield clashed with a 75-year-old pedestrian trying to cross the road.

According to the eyewitnesses, the biker riding Royal Enfield was so fast that he could not control the speed of the vehicle. At the same time, the man crossing the road could not anticipate the motorcycle to collide with him on such short notice due to which the accident took place at Silchar – Manipur National Highway.

The pedestrian Abdul Jabbar Laskar’s condition was critical on the spot and he was referred to the Silchar Medical College and Hospital by the local health care centre. He was declared dead at the SMCH.

According to the available information, Mamun Laskar was riding the motorcycle and Injam Ul Haque was sitting behind him when the accident took place. Both of them are residents of the Gobindopur village in the Udharbond constituency. The locals said that both of them got wounded during the accident.
