Subhasish Choudhury to represent Assam University at the floral tributes function organised by Parliament Institute

Subhasish Choudhury, social activist and 2nd year PG student of Computer Science at Assam University, has been selected by judges to represent the University and take part in the Floral Tributes Function organised by Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies, in the Central Hall of the Indian Parliament, on April 14, 2023, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr. BR Ambedkar.

He was selected by judges of the University based on his performance in the competition of “Oral Presentation on the Life and Achievements of Dr Ambedkar”, conducted by the University in pursuance of communication received from the UGC regarding selection of students for floral tributes at the Parliament on April 14.

It is to be noted that he has been selected from among several other students and research scholars who took part in the competition.

He will be travelling to Delhi, to take part in event to be held by the Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracy (PRIDE). PRIDE was set up in 1976 as an integral part of the Lok Sabha Secretariat to provide parliamentarians, parliamentary staff and others with institutionalised opportunities for systematic training in the various disciplines of parliamentary institutions, processes and procedures.

Subhasish himself is a social activist, who has taken up the causes of Bengalis, and also that of Hindus from around the world by campaigning for several issues concerning them. He is a member of Hindu Chhatra Sangstha, and is one of the rising vocal voices fighting for people of Barak Valley.
