Teacher from Sonai Arrested for sexually assaulting neighbour’s daughter

In our community, education is highly valued, and teachers are held in great esteem. However, there are unfortunate instances where individuals bring disgrace to this noble profession. Recently, the Sonai Police arrested a teacher of an LP School for allegedly sexually assaulting his neighbor’s daughter.

On Saturday, the Sonai Police apprehended Raju Das Choudhury, a teacher at the LP School, on charges of assaulting a girl who is an eighth-grade student. The incident occurred on December 20th of the previous year. Reports indicate that the victim’s mother was in the bathroom when the alleged assault occurred. The girl, engrossed in her studies, was unexpectedly sexually assaulted by the neighbor, Raju Das Choudhury, rendering her unconscious.

Upon noticing the incident other residents of the house made some noise which alerted the victim’s mother. Upon her arrival, she witnessed the accused fleeing the scene. The distressed mother wasted no time and reported the incident to the Sonai Police Station on the same night, passionately seeking justice for her daughter.

After several days of investigation, the police took action and arrested the accused teacher. The mother’s persistent demand for justice was heard, and authorities acted to address this distressing incident.

This incident has raised concerns within the community about the behavior of those in positions of trust, especially teachers. While education is highly prioritised, it is essential to address instances of misconduct swiftly and effectively. The community is reminded of the need for vigilance and measures to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
