Three young children went missing after parental scolding, Cachar Police found them at Rail Station
Three children of age group 8-10 disappeared from their homes in the Kanakpur area of Cachar on May 1. Their parents have been searching every nook and cranny of the town since then to no success. Helplessly they filed an FIR with Rangirkhari Police last evening and Cachar Police found them by that night only. The reason behind the disappearance of the “youngsters” might be concerning. The three close friends have gone missing from their respective homes following an episode of parental scolding. Feeling deeply aggrieved by what they perceived as unjust reprimands from their parents, they collectively decided to flee their homes.
Despite their tender age and limited maturity, the emotional impact of the scolding triggered a profound reaction, prompting them to take drastic measures. While psychology justifies this act and says that children, particularly in the pre-adolescent stage, are highly sensitive to perceived injustices. But what triggered them to take such a daring step remains a question for specialists to solve. For preliminary investigation, Cachar Police dismissed any connection to child trafficking rackets, this seems to be a collective step on their part.
Additional SP of Cachar Police on Friday briefed about the success of their search operation and said, “Last evening we received the complaint that these three close friends went missing from their home and we immediately launched a search operation. Under the leadership of SP Cachar, upon search operation, we found the three kids last night at 2 o’clock on March 3 from the Silchar Railway Station”. When asked why they took this step, the senior police officer told us about the ordeal with their parents. He further informed about the ongoing investigation to know any details of the missing case.
The question remains, what were they doing at the station? What would have happened if the Police didn’t find them on time? Were they going to board a train? Fortunately, the Cachar Police team found them before any of the extremes. In a heartwarming moment, SP Cachar was seen sharing poori-sabzi after his team found them at the railway station.
The incident serves as a poignant reminder of the vulnerability of young minds and the critical role of nurturing environments in fostering healthy development and resilience.
