ULFA claims responsibility of Guwahati attack; 2 dead, several injured

In the heart of Guwahati today evening a grenade blast claimed life of two individuals while several others are injured. As per available information a grenade was thrown in front of Guwahati Central in Zoo road.

The reporters on the ground tell us two individuals has been already declared dead so far while two others are critically injured. Overall 8 people suffered injuries due to the grenade attack.

Meanwhile, News 18 on its broadcast mentioned that ULFA spokesperson called the News18 bureau and claimed responsibility of the attack. The experts in the news broadcast, however, said that this claim needs to be verified further.
