Valentines Day: “Only couples allowed in NC College” notice goes viral; Principal files FIR

A notice with Nabin Chandra College’s Principal’s alleged signature has gone viral on social media. The notice states, “Dear student it is notified that on Valentine’s Day – February 14, 2021, single students are not allowed to come to college. Couples are allowed by holding hand.

The notice adds, “It is a request to single students to search for a person to become mingle before February 14.” It has the Principal’s signature, a notice number, and has been printed on a letterhead. At the end of the notice, it states, “Notice is only for fun purpose.”

The Principal of the NC College, Mortuja Hussain did not take the notice for fun, He is of the view that the Principal’s signature, college’s notice number should not be used for fun. “In my view, this is a cybercrime and should be dealt with very seriously,” said Hussain.

The Principal added, “A few weeks earlier, in a similar case of forgery, someone had circulated a notice about the examination. This is not a matter of joke, this can cause serious confusion, misguide students.”

Considering the possible repercussions, the Principal went on to file an FIR. “I have brought the incident to the judiciary’s notice and now the law of the land will look into the matter,” said the Principal.
