
Vanished, Traced, Embraced: Cachar Police Reunite Three with Families
Cachar Police successfully traced and rescued three missing individuals in separate cases. One was located in Mathura, who left a suicide note before he went missing; another was found in Sribhumi following a district-wide search, and the third, initially suspected to have been kidnapped, was safely found after she eloped.
Among the three individuals, two are minors—a boy and a girl—along with 27-year-old Rajdeep Singh. All three were reported missing, and Cachar Police conducted rigorous search operations, ultimately locating them safely.
In the case of a 15-year-old minor girl from Borjalenga, Dwarbond, who had been reported missing, was initially suspected to have been kidnapped. However, investigations revealed that she had eloped with a soldier in the Indian Army from the same area. With intensive efforts, Cachar Police successfully located her and returned her to her mother on Sunday. Further investigations are ongoing under Dwarbond Police Station.
Rajdeep Singh, son of Sudip Kr Singh from Shivbari Road in Tarapur, Silchar, had left a suicide note before disappearing. His father reported the matter to the police, who swiftly initiated an inquiry. Within 24 hours, Cachar Police tracked Rajdeep to Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. He was safely rescued and given counselling by supervising officers before being reunited with his family on Sunday (March 30).
The third case involved Ayaan Dey, son of Moloy Dey from Ambicapatty, Silchar. He had been missing since Friday evening (March 28). A search operation was launched immediately, and within 24 hours, the police found him in Sribhumi. He was counselled by officers before being safely handed over to his parents on Sunday.
Ayaan Dey, who is a student of Class 9, reportedly left home on his bicycle, but how he reached Sribhumi remains unknown.
The prompt response and dedicated efforts of the Cachar Police ensured the safe return of all three individuals, bringing relief to their families.
