Water logging in Silchar becomes major threat to locals

The residents of Silchar Meherpur Green Park Area, Medical Area protested strongly on 16th August , to repair the broken roads which is making it no less than a wetland.

It is a known fact that water from medical waste blocks the area. This has led to a major issue for the people along with the patients who have to travel through this road.

Among them, a woman, outraged by the situation recently urged strongly to the DC and the SMCH union to look onto this matter. She also voiced her concern about the underdevelopment of the area and why the administration has kept a blind-eye.

The residents also informed that less than a month ago they invested money from their pockets and made a temporary go-to road but later on this too was destroyed.

Further, they also stated that they were being promised about the road getting repaired but they didn’t get any response yet.
