Dense Fog Likely In Cachar Over Next Two Days, IMD Warns

Cachar district, along with Sribhumi and Hailakandi is likely to experience dense fog during the morning hours over the next two days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The weather forecast for January 7 and January 8 indicates fog or mist in the early morning, followed by mainly clear skies later in the day.

The maximum temperature is expected to remain around 23°C, while the minimum temperature may hover near 13°C on both days. High humidity levels, ranging between 85% and 90%, are likely to contribute to reduced visibility during morning hours. IMD has issued a dense fog warning for these two days.

On January 9, similar morning fog conditions are expected, but no weather warning has been issued. The maximum temperature may rise slightly to 24°C, with the minimum remaining around 13°C.

Residents, especially early-morning commuters, are advised to remain cautious due to possible low visibility conditions.
