AHSEC Results: Silchar's Ashim Sarkar 1st in Commerce, Govt. Boys' Daisy Pathak 2nd in Science

After the disappointment that followed the HSLC results declared earlier this month there is something for Barak Valley to cheer. An outstanding performance at the class XII examination proves that the valley is filled with talent. Vivekananda Commerce College’s Ashim Sarkar with 474 marks managed to secure the top position in the state.

Government Boys school provided another matter of joy and pride. Daisy Pathak from the government school secured the second position in the Science stream with 477 marks.

Vivekananda Commerce College demonstrated its excellence in the examinations conducted by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council. Brinda Roy secured ninth position in Commerce stream with 455 marks.

Along with Cachar, Karimganj and Hailakandi too managed to make it to the merit list. By scoring 458 marks Karimganj Junior College of Science’s Harsh Golecha secured the seventh position.    

Reportedly, a total of 2,42,843 candidates have appeared for the AHSEC HSC exam, out of which 1,86,187 candidates were from the arts stream. For science and commerce stream, as many as 37,455 and 18,291 candidates appeared for the exam respectively.
