1 killed, 7 critical after car rolls down 50ft; Horrific accident in Kumbhirgram

One killed and seven others sustained critical injuries after a Maruti Omni (AS 11B 5327) slid to a 50 feet deep gorge today in Nepalibasti near Kumbhirgram. The accident took place today afternoon. There were a total of eight passengers boarding the vehicle.

The slain person has been identified as Manik Tantubai, who is a resident of Kumbhirgram Tea Garden. Others sustained critical injuries and they have been rushed to the Airforce Hospital nearby for emergency treatments.

The Maruti Suzuki Omni went to Nepalibasti to drop someone, but fell into the gorge accidentally and slid almost 50 feet deep. Local people immediately came to rescue and found one person dead on the spot. Police went to the spot, inspected the place of the accident and carried the dead body for medical tests.
