11 villages in Cachar declared “Precautionary Containment Zone”
11 villages under different revenue circle of Cachar district have been declared “Precautionary Containment Zone”, after the district saw spike in one more case yesterday night.
Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma took to twitter to inform “One person Cachar district has tested positive for COVID19. Total patients in Assam now stands at 45…..”.
Cachar Deputy Commissioner later on Wednesday signed on order notifying 11 villages of Cachar district as Precautionary Containment Zone.
The order stated “Whereas stranded persons of Cachar district who were returning by bus RJ 27 PB 7071 from Ajmer to Cachar on 06.05.20. And whereas Mr Faridul Islam, who declared himself to be a resident of District Sonitpur was also travelling in the aforementioned bus.”
It further added, as he was found COVID19 positive upon testing at Silchar Medical College and Hospital Silchar, following areas are declared as Precautionary Containment Zone.
