17th convocation of Assam University on March 14

The 17th convocation of Assam University is scheduled to be held on March 14.

In this convocation degrees will be awarded for the course of Ph.D. M.Phil., Post Graduate, Integrated course, Diploma and Three Years Degree, B.Ed,Vch, BSW, BVA, B. Pharma and LLB to the students who had passed in the year 2018 and in certain cases of 2019.

In this convocation, Aditya Prasad Dash, vice-chancellor of Central University of Tamil Nadu will grace the occasion as the chief guest and deliver the convocation address. Around 2600 students applied for participation in this convocation. Rehearsal programme for the convocation will be held in Netaji Subash Mancha of Assam University on March 13 at 1.30 PM.

All eligible applicants are requested to collect their convocation dress from Assam University on the rehearsal day between 10am to 12.4pm. No one will be allowed to enter in the convocation hall without dress. It is compulsory for all eligible applicants for convocation to attend the rehearsal programme. All eligible students are requested to report at 7.30am on March 14. This has been informed by the university authority.

Assam University, established in 1994, is the only central university in Barak Valley It is located at Durgakona in Cachar district, around 20km from Silchar.
