19 more test positive in Cachar; One Police official without travel history, 11 BSF, 4 Military

19 more have tested positive in Cachar district so far on June 27. Officials in Silchar Medical College and Hospital informed that Asraful Alom Barbhuiya 35-year-old police official from Joypur Police Station in Cachar’s Harinagar area has tested positive. His swab samples were collected under the ongoing Assam Targeted Surveillance Programme (ATSP).

The police official did not travel anywhere outside northeast recently as per the medical bulletin.

While speaking with Barak Bulletin, Cachar SP, Manabendra Dev Ray informed, “25 police officials were tested under the ATSP out of which one has tested positive. Now the Joypur Police Station will become a quarantine centre.”

Apart from the police official, as many as 11 individuals from the Dolcherra BSF camp have tested positive.

Sudipta Nath (32 male) BSF Dholcherra,

Ashoke Kumar (male 47) BSF Dholcherra,

Radhe Shyam (39 male) BSF Dholcherra,

Tej Singh (35 male) BSF Dholcherra,

Devilal (52 Male)BSF Dholcherra,

Pronoy Sarkar (male 38) BSF Dholcherra,

Suneel Kumar (male 31), BSF Dolcherra,

COVID19 infection has been detected in the Masimpur Military camp too. As per the medical report, following individuals who were placed under quarantine in the Masimpur Military camp have tested positive today.

Sandeep (27 male) Masimpur Military Station,

Jijeesh (male 25) Masimpur Military Station,

Umesh Kambar (36 male)Masimpur Military Station,

Tazim Uddin Talukdar (23 male, Bangalore) Katigorah, Bahar Uddin Laskar (37 male, Andhra Pradesh) Dholai, Abdul Kasim Barbhuiya (28 male, Bangalore) Dholai, also tested positive. They were at their respective quarantine centres in Silchar.
