Corona Scare: 2 quarantined from Badarpur Railway station after fellow passenger's tweet

Last night, when all were asleep, Badarpur railway station was on alert to deboarded a suspected Corona patient, after his co-passenger tweeted it to Indian Railways.

A passenger traveling in 15625 Deogarh Agartala passenger train, tweeted to Indian railways mentioning that his co-passenger is suffering from heavy fever along with neck pain. The Railway’s twitter account immediately forwarded it to NFR asking to look into it. The matter was also informed to Badarpur station for necessary action.

The whole team of police and doctors, thereafter, went active to contain the patient passenger. Sources informed that the train reached Badarpur station around 3:30 am and the passengers were isolated. “There were two people, both of whom after preliminary screening were rushed to Silchar Medical College and Hospital,” the sources informed.

On Wednesday, Barakbulletin.com correspondent spoke to one of the two admitted to Silchar Medical College. “We are coming from Bengaluru and were screened at every station. I don’t know why they have quarantined me as I don’t have any symptoms. My friend is having some respiratory problems due to excessive drinking. We are kept in two separate rooms here at Silchar Medical College. They have not given even a single glass of water to drink,” Gati Roy, shared with us. The other patient and the main suspected person could not be reached.

No official confirmation could be received yet on the matter.
